My Best Friend

Tomorrow night is the Ke$ha concert. We have been looking forward to this for over two months now. We have a great game plan and cash saved up. It will be the best concert ever!
Not only is Alexa my concert buddy she is my best friend. I have been friends with her since we were in 3rd grade. I can always count on her to be around when I need her, even though she goes to USU and I go to WSU.
We are the biggest retards together and can always laugh at ourselves. We have a saying that we promise to each other, "when we are 80 we will be the ones racing our electric wheelchairs around the nursing home". It reminds us we will always be friends.
Alexa is my truest friend, sure I have 2 other best friends, but they aren't always there for me and I hardly see them and they live all of a few blocks away. Alexa lives in Logan and I talk to her on a daily basis and see her every other weekend. I love her to death.
It feels good to have a best friend, but not everyone is so lucky. I watch my sister switch friends year after year and never have the one friend to rely on. I know it's hard for her, it's hard to watch.
To Urban Dictionary states that friends are people who are aware of how retarded you are and still manage to be seen in public with you. Being friends with Alexa this statement has proven its self true.

Do you have a best friend that you can be your complete and absolute self with? They are the best and are something to be very very thankful for.

Valentine's Weekend

I work at a flower shop,Cedar Village Floral http://www.ogdenfloral.com/. I consider this to be one of the best jobs in the world, until (dramatic music plays) Valentine's Day. The busiest day in the flower shop industry. Pink and red fill the shop, buckets and buckets full of flowers, hundreds and hundreds of red roses and baby's breath. Pretty picture right? Wrong. A whole weekend of getting to work at 7:00 A.M. and finally leaving around midnight. Non-stop arranging, getting pricked by rose thorns, and the phone ringing off the hook.

I was, however, proud of myself for the arrangements I was putting out. They were beautiful, if I do say so myself. A co-worker said we were in a fight because I was doing so well. That was the highlight of the weekend.

Flowers are pretty, they make people happy. I love getting flowers any kind any color. Well some women are completely arrogant! "My husband didn't spend enough." "My husband didn't order the right thing." "My flowers are too fresh they aren't bloomed and look horrible." Well lady, I'm surprised you have a husband for one thing and that he was sweet enough to get you flowers and if they aren't bloomed it just means that in a day or two they will look beautiful and last that much longer. I don't understand how there can be so many things wrong with flowers, they are flowers!

A nightmarish weekend ended with me having an aching back, a terrible cold, and exhaustion. At least I have 22 hours of over time. I need it.

You can get more information on our floral Facebook page  http://www.facebook.com/cedarvillagefloral#!/pages/Cedar-Village-Floral-and-Gift/115165855183571?v=wall , it hasn't been updated in a little while though.

Sisters, You Can't Live With 'em You Can't Live Without 'em

My sister my sister,
Is not the best.
My sister my sister,
Oh give it a rest.

My sister my sister,
Stop with the drama
My sister my sister,
Dumb as a llama.

My sister my sister,
I'm not supposed to see.
My sister my sister,
Dumb as can be.

McKenzie Bellen

When it comes to my sister she's, well, a huge pain. She steals my clothes, my shoes, my purses and jewelry. She's the most spoiled person on the planet and she's the most ungrateful person I've ever met.

I have tried time and time again to get her to stop stealing my things, does she listen? Nope. My closet is a huge disaster because of her. Every morning I walk in there and have shirts on the floor, shoes all over the place and my shelves are a complete mess. Half the time I find she's wearing a new shirt I just bought and haven't even worn myself yet and it pisses me off royally. She probably has more clothes than my mom, my dad, and me combined, yet still steals my things.

She is so spoiled too. My parents just bought her a car because she's too busy with sports to get a job. I on the other hand had to quit softball because I needed to get a job so I could buy my own car. Then a week later she had a dance. When I went to a high school dance I had a $100 limit for shoes, dress, accessories, and tickets. My sister got a dress that was $150, shoes that were $75, and jewelry that totalled $50. No exageration. All she had to buy was the ticket a weak $18. She also got a new iPhone that day and 3 shirts just because. Now I got a laptop. I am so grateful for this present. It's all I wanted and I even picked out a cheaper one. I appologized to my mom when I saw the end price, because I knew it was over my budget. This was all the same day as my sister getting spoiled. She never once said thank you and just complained that she needed more.

Now don't get me wrong when it comes down to it I love my sister, but seriously girl? Be a little grateful.
My sister's Facebook page http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=1402417700 shows pictures of said dance and possibly said car.

Parties

You know when you watch TV shows like Greek or movies and college parties are so over the top with their themes, bands, and drinking? Well WSU parties aren't that extravagant. Themes don't go over that well, usually only a couple people dress up in the end and bands hardly every happen. Drinking though, well now that's a different story. Beer Pong is a popular game amongst college students; a game of skill and hand eye cordination, very difficult when you've had a couple drinks. Other games such as Kings Cup and Flip Cup are also popular.

Well I attended an ABC party a few weeks ago. Of course the theme didn't stick and only the girl I went with, the boy who owned the house, and myself had dressed up. I wore a trash bag I turned into a formal dress. Anyway, the party was fun, until I got sick. The point of my story is I have the greatest friends in the entire world. My friend I went with left the party and "held my hair", she drove me to her house and let me sleep until I was okay to drive home.

Turns out I had a horrible flu which lasted a good week. You probably thought it was something else ;).

Other people I have attended parties with the theme has stuck and the iPod plays our loud DJ. I've attended a White Trash party where we all dressed like complete trash and a Black and White Affair in which only the hostess wore a different color. Parties that have a theme and can stick to them are always the best.

After reading this blog don't think I am a party girl because I am far from it. I just wanted to fill you in a little bit about the party scene at WSU. Which in fact is sort of lame.
